Our 100% Acrylic Rug Yarn is not your typical acrylic yarn for knitting. It boasts a robust structure that doesn't droop when tufted, ensuring the fibers remain straight and the rug stays dense and strong. 

It differs from EFFY's Cotton Blend Yarn, which is 80% cotton and 20% acrylic. It's much easier to carve and isn't stringy. While EFFY Cotton Blend is beautiful, it unfortunately doesn't hold its structure very well when tufted. EFFY's Cotton Blend is 8 strands loosely wound together, while this Acrylic yarn is three strands wound tightly together. 

While Rug Wool remains the top choice for rug making, we understand it can be expensive. Our 100% Acrylic Rug Yarn offers a new, affordable option for creating durable rugs. 

This 100% acrylic yarn comes in 500 grams on recycled plastic or paper cones, so you can easily feed your wool to your gun.

You must use 2 strands at a time in your machine at all times unless the hole size of your gun has been altered.

You can always wind half a cone off and use a cake and cone for tufting 

It is approximately double knit or 8ply (as we say in New Zealand)
